Scattered is a nonprofit organization that supports mental well-being through creativity and mindfulness.
Scattered was founded in 2024 by Sampreet Arneja and Arielle Warten. Both founders live with ADHD and understand how overwhelming it can feel to slow down, focus, or make sense of emotions in everyday life.
Through their own experiences, they discovered a simple but powerful practice that helped them feel calmer and more connected. By combining mindfulness with free, unfiltered writing, they created what is now known as the Headspace Method.
The Headspace Method gives people space to pause, breathe, and write freely — without worrying about rules, grammar, or doing things “the right way.” It helps people notice their thoughts and feelings instead of pushing them aside.
Scattered was created to share the Headspace Method with others in a way that feels accessible, inclusive, and supportive for people from all backgrounds.
The Headspace Method
A simple practice combining mindfulness and free writing to support mental well-being.
Through guided moments of pause and reflection, participants are invited to breathe, write freely, and explore their thoughts without pressure, rules, or judgment. The focus is not on performance or fixing, but on creating space for awareness and self-connection.
Our mission is to support mental well-being through creativity, mindfulness, and connection. Using the Headspace Method, we create spaces where people are encouraged to slow down, express themselves freely, and explore their inner world without pressure or judgment. We are committed to accessibility and inclusion, especially for youth and neurodivergent individuals.
